History

Caftec has specialized in super-automatic espresso equipment since its launch in 1987.  Caftec was on the first importers of Swiss super-automatics on the West Coast.  Our experience and our dedication to quality products and exceptional service have made us a leader in the Northern Californian espresso machine market.

Caftec has installed over 400 machines in Northern California and counts among its satisfied customers Peet's Coffee & Tea, Krispy Kreme, Mimi's Cafe, and Michael Mina Restaurant.  Our commitment to our clients only begins upon the sale of a new machine; our highly trained and certified technicians work to maintain and protect the machines in the field and ensure that every machine meets our client's exact standards.  Caftec also maintains a warehouse in San Francisco that carries a large stock of machines and parts so that we can quickly respond to and repair client's equipment.

Mission Statement

Our goal is to enable clients to serve excellent espresso drinks in a simple, consistent, and efficient manner.  We will provide reliable and cost effective machines as well as excellent customer service to support those machines.

Our Technicians

All or our technicians undergo an intensive training and certification process on Schaerer espresso machines.  After the initial certification, the technicians receive specialized training and continue to learn the nuances of the machines under the tutelage of our in-house expert who has over 15 years of experience with super-automatic espresso machines.
